So here is the new video by P-Square featuring Rick Ross. We were going to blog this earlier in the day, then watched the video and thought, no we won't, then later we decided maybe we would but with an editors perspective. The final decision was mix of the fact we do love to support anything that takes African culture further but then to what extent.

By this, the issue is, Do we need more videos of men in Yachts with women walking around with champagne bottles and foreign designer wear? This is not what gave P-Square their international status, in fact the artist that protray this, real of false, are hardly even selling records. It is so early 90s, boring and played out. With the exception of the good music playing, the video was not entycing. in some way it actually felt worst than seeing this from the constructed hip hop culture, because here you are listening to the natural afro beats whilst seeing something that is so foreign.

most of those abroad have seen this a million times, the question is would this grab their interest, or would it have grabbed their interest more if being introduced to something new. In most of these cases the artists have very little say in the directing of the videos and are mainly musicians as far as the art goes. We wish P-Square all the best but if not them, we hope other emerging African musicians do not go down the long winded path of bringing foreign culture home, when instead should be taking African culture abroad such as the likes of Angelique Kidjo and more. Cape Verde, Now The 10th Most Popular Destination for Buyers!

The expansion of Cape Verde's tourism industry is having a positive impact on its real estate sector.

According to Adam Cornwell, managing director of Feltrim International, there are numerous reasons why the island nation off the coast of west Africa appeals to holidaymakers, which is, in turn, boosting demand for places to stay.

Mr Cornwell described Cape Verde as a "credible winter sun alternative to the Canary Islands but far more affordable". He added the number of tourists arriving in the nation is expected to reach one million by 2015, which he commented is "fantastic news for emerging market property investors".

There are also opportunities to purchase completed Cape Verde real estate, rather than having to buy off-plan, which makes it a good choice for more cautious buyers, he stated.

Earlier this month, TheMoveChannel revealed enquiries for property in Cape Verde climbed in April, with the destination moving up by three places to become the tenth most popular destination among potential buyers.

Well anyways now, it's coming from Africa, and the most interesting thing is it doesn't seem like it will be leaving anytime soon considering African's are everywhere. Azonto which we proudly blogged about here before it even went national in Ghana, has been a hit dance and music genre for quite a while, and with African culture and music now the mainstream sound of the urban scene around the world it seems it's not going anywhere neither. English: We are glad to announce on this day, that organisers for Miss East Africa, Miss Southern Africa, Miss Central Africa and yours truly, Miss West Africa, have come together on this fabulous day of Liberation where Kwame Nkrumah formed the African Unity organisation, to bring to you a united African pageant, Miss UNITED AFRICA. We felt after all the hard work put in by all our organisation, we could united our efforts to bring attention to the various focus which all our pageants enduldge in, such as charity, tourism, business, culture and apply it on an international level.

This decision is headed by a Miss United Africa organisation, and extends the activities of all the international queens of the said pageants. The first Miss United Africa pageant will take place next year on this day and we already have attracted some of the greatest sponsors in presentation. The country will be disclosed 3 months before the event, where the world will get to meet some of the well groomed and well achieved queens of the for regions. This does not mean there will be no more Miss East, Miss Central Miss West or Miss Southern Africa, your trusted pageants will still remain, but our queens will come together for the Miss United Africa pageant. Although, none of the current queens will compete for this title as their reign will reach its end before the first edition of Miss United Africa. New FASHION MODELS for Africa | Nouvelles MODÈLES DE MODE pour l'Afrique | Novos modelos de moda para a África

Miss West Africa ltd has joined with a few model agency managers based in Africa and UK to bring you an agency for the whole of Africa. Their prime objective is to have a developed fashion agency with talented home grown models from all over Africa, whom can provide great fashion and editorial services for all clients at home and abroad.

Confidence Model Management is an extension of a UK model agency that acknowledged the great potential amongst many Ghanaian models whose modelling careers were very limited due to some of their current management status. Phil Antony states "We want to have something to push the faces of the models everywhere we can, most times we get bookings from clients outside Africa through Miss West Africa, only because they find it difficult to get a straight and direct service from some of the agencies". African fashion has great potential, but very limited organisations to regulate how companies and agencies treat models, therefore setting up an agency is not so much of a sure investment path.

At Miss West Africa we believe having the right type of agency on the ground is not so much to grab every job available to a model, this is in our interest, however it is also important to us the contribute to the safety, well-being and guidance of the models. Especially in a situation where girls are travelling from far to many places executing jobs that sometimes do not even compliment them on their travel.

Confidence Model Management took upon a soft launch online two weeks ago, and are in the planning of various launches in various countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Gambia, Ivory Coast and more. You can also find all sort of dishes from vegetarian dishes and other recipes. As of now, many African governments are accepting GM (genetically modified) foods, which is very harmful to growth and reproduction. So keeping a good eye on your diet can be a very helpful from here on. Eat more green, alway check to see if your retailer sells natural food or GM foods, and ensure you cook all you buy very well. the best advice is to stick to local markets and locally made foods. Dilong Nsang experiences Ngon Nso cultural week

English: Just a few days after her return to Cameroon from her top 10 placing at the Miss West Africa International Finals in Gambia, Miss West Africa Cameroon Dilong Nsang joined up with Miss University Africa Cameroon Toutou Armelle in Kumbo at the Ngon Nso cultural week and spent two days with the people of Nso. During her visit she met with HRH Se'em Mbinglo 1 and the Miss Ngon Nso who was elected to promote the Nso culture. Miss Dilong dressed in the traditional outfit from the North West region of Cameroon and Toutou dressed in her traditional outfit from the Littoral Region, Douala.

An historic experience on Kunta Kinte Island for the Miss West Africa International girls

English: The Miss West Africa International girls visited Kunta Kinte Island, formerly James Island today. Even though it is now a quarter of the size it was originally due to erosion and the buildings ruined, everyone could feel the history of the place as our guides described the terrible events that took place daily that so many Gambian people experienced first hand.



Français: La Miss Afrique de l'Ouest filles International ont visité l'île de Kunta Kinte, anciennement île James aujourd'hui.
